DESCRIPTION
Honduras | Comayagua
Reserva Guama Danta — Organic |SHG | EP | Washed Process
This organic Guama Danta coffee comes from Comayagua, the most productive and diverse of Honduras’ coffee-growing regions. With an incredible range of microclimates, Comayagua produces coffees that are nuanced, balanced, and quietly complex—and Guama Danta is a standout example of what this region does best.
This is a community lot, made possible by many smallholder farmers who are deeply committed to improving quality and sustainability. These producers go beyond the basics, refining their agricultural practices and working together to ensure their coffee earns fair prices and reaches the global market with integrity.
One of the key figures behind Guama Danta is Alfonso Ramos, a longtime producer who has been cultivating coffee since the 1960s. Alfonso shares decades of hard-earned knowledge with farmers in some of Comayagua’s most remote areas, helping them improve quality, access buyers, and negotiate fair compensation. His leadership and dedication to uplifting fellow producers is central to what makes high-quality community coffees like Guama Danta possible.
Grown at high elevations and meticulously hand-sorted to meet European Preparation (EP) standards, this coffee reflects the care taken at every step—from farm to mill to export. The washed process highlights clarity and balance in the cup, making this an easy-drinking yet expressive Honduran coffee that works beautifully across brew methods.
