A welder by trade, Brennan first started kayaking when he was 14, but once he finished high school he didn’t do much boating and kinda got away from the scene. On a whim, at the age of 26, he had the money and decided to purchase his childhood dream boat, the Jackson Rockstar. He only did it because he could, but didn’t really think he’d get back into it again. After a move to Richmond, VA, he found a kayak group called the 14th Street Misfits. All it took was getting back into the boat and his obsession from age 14 kicked back in! He now spends as much time in his playboat as possible, whether that’s in the pool, the lake, or running class V whitewater. He also runs a nonprofit organization called Water Safe Ohio, which offers training classes, promotes boater safety, and does river cleanups.
