DESCRIPTION
From the lush highlands of Cusco, Peru, this microlot from producer Efraín Nina Chamorro delivers a cup that perfectly balances lively fruit sweetness with smooth, comforting depth. Sourced through the Huadquiña Cooperative, this coffee reflects the best of small-scale, sustainable farming and meticulous post-harvest care.
The Huadquiña Cooperative, founded in 1964 near the historic town of Santa Teresa, sits at elevations ranging from 1,600 to 2,200 meters above sea level. This high-altitude environment — rich volcanic soils, cool mountain nights, and steady rainfall — creates ideal growing conditions for traditional Arabica varieties prized for their sweetness and complexity.
After careful hand-harvesting, cherries undergo a washed process with 14–18 hours of controlled fermentation before being thoroughly rinsed and dried with microlot-level precision. The result is an elegant, vibrant coffee with tasting notes of green grape, dark plum, and toasted walnut — a cup that’s bright and fruit-forward, yet beautifully balanced and easy to enjoy every day.
